We had a Halloween Party for the mommy group I am involved with. Enzo wore his Nemo costume (Thank you Grandma U!) and his buddy, Shyla, sported a dashing chicken suit.
We took a family trip to Monterey for the final race of the season. Enzo was cool, calm and collected at the track. In fact, he fell asleep during one of the races with the engines blaring in the background. To think I was worried about him fussing because of the loud noise!
It's true. Our boy is six months old already. As you can see, most of our day is spent either chewing on various objects or laughing. I've never been happier.
Check out her blog for some excellent photography.
Last weekend we went to our good friend, Katy's, family BBq. It was a perfect summer day spent with great company. Enzo even went for a little swim in the kiddie pool.
Katy K sent me a link to a neat website that makes digital images look like polaroids. Of course Enzo makes the ideal subject... In the last one, he's practicing what I like to call "dolphin speak" which is basically a high pitched squeal he enjoys making (repeatedly)
The "funiartes" headed to disney for Grandma U's b-day. A great time was had by all, even Enzo went on a few rides! He fared reasonably well through the Haunted Mansion and the Jungle cruise. Though I think his favorite place, by far, was the nursing room and diaper changing station.
We went to our friend Jane's picnic at a park for the Fourth and had a blast. Eric played baseball and volleyball while Enzo and I sat in the shade and ate pie. (Well, I ate pie as Enzo watched.) As usually, everyone was very impressed by Enzo's girth. As we like to say, "he's thriving"
This is the mural I painted for Enzo's room. I had gone back and forth for months on whether or not to paint on the wall, then finally decided to just do it. It was scary putting the first strokes of acrylic down but after I got started the whole thing only took 2 evenings. I think it turned out rather well in the end.
